Limassol Holidays
Limassol, located on the south coast of Cyprus, is one of the islands biggest resorts. Most of the apartments and hotels in Limassol are close to the beaches where there are lots of bars and a huge choice of international restaurants. There are several beaches in Limassol to choose from. The main beach is Dassoudi where there is an abundance of watersports on offer including scuba diving. For a more relaxed, quieter beach Lady’s Mile to the west of the harbour is ideal. Limassol holidays also offer a taste of traditional Cyprus with local tavernas and little souvenir shops combined with the more modern international restaurants and bars.
The currency was changed to the Euro (EUR) on 1 January 2008. Major credit cards are accepted at most establishments. Money and travellers cheques can be exchanged at banks, open from Monday to Friday. There are ATMs spread throughout the island, operating 24 hours a day.

Limassol is a cosmopolitan city with lots of activities to suit all ages. An ideal resort for those who love to shop Limassol offers small local shops to designer boutiques. In the old town, traditional markets sell handmade goods including jewellery and lace, combined with more familiar highstreet stores. Whilst on holiday in Limassol popular excursions include the Limassol fort, Kolossi Castle and walking or hiking in the Troodos mountains.
Language
The majority of Cypriots speak Greek, and a small percentage speaks Turkish. The Greek Cypriot dialect differs from mainland Greece. English, German and French are spoken in tourist areas.
Nightlife in Limassol
Most of the nightlife in Limassol is centered on the Yermasogea area where there is a huge selection of bars, restaurants and clubs, although most parts of town have fantastic restaurants and tavernas.
