Currency in Majorca
Official currency of Spain is the Euro. Credit cards and travelers cheques are accepted at most establishments. ATMs, which are found almost everywhere, are generally the easiest and most economical way of obtaining money. Though money can be exchanged at bureaux de change and major hotels, it is advised to get them exchanged at banks, as they offer the best rates.

Language in Majorca
Spanish is the official language, but English is widely understood in areas frequented by tourists. Catalan, Galician and Basque are spoken in the relevant areas.

The nightlife in Majorca completely depends upon which resort you choose, as it varies greatly. The southern resorts in Majorca tend to be lively, and have a wide selection of bars and discos. The northern resorts are a lot quieter in comparison and the main nightlife is centered around bars and restaurants.
