Built between 1517 and 1527 by 'arch. Antonio da Sangallo the Elder by the will of the 'religious order of the "Servants of Mary" later also called "Servites", it was inspired by the lines of the famous Spedale dei Serviti, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi a century earlier and it is facing it.
