The resort is situated on the beach. The hotel is located 25km from Marsa Alam Airport.
There are 300 rooms at the resort, with a choice of Standard Rooms, Family Rooms or Suites. Each one has air conditioning and a terrace or balcony that overlooks the sea, the poolside or the landscaped gardens. Other features include a safety box, hairdryer, minibar, satellite TV and a telephone (for internal use only).
The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet-style. It has an open terrace that overlooks the pool and garden, and offers different themed nights such as The Taste of Italy, Around the World, French Romance and Wonders of the Far East. Alternatively, there is an Italian à la carte restaurant overlooking the beach.
The resort also has three bars where guests can drink and socialise indoors and outside. These are the Beach Bar, Pool Bar and Peanuts Bar. The Shisha Café offers a traditional experience (extra charge).
With a beach, two main swimming pools (one heated in winter), a lazy river, a dive pool and a kids pool, much of the hotel’s activity is based around the water. The pool areas have sun loungers, towels, windbreakers and umbrellas to make sure each guest is comfortable, whether or not they fancy a swim.
Sports at the hotel include darts, volleyball, table tennis, water polo, aerobics and bocce. At the beach a range of water sports are on offer including snorkelling and diving. Guests can choose to pay extra for access to the Wellness Centre, which has a beauty centre, hairdresser, sauna, steam baths, Jacuzzi, massage treatments and a gym.
The hotel’s animation team organises games and entertainment during the day, and puts on shows in the evening. Two daily kids clubs cater for children aged 4 – 8 (Trixie Kids) and 9 – 12 (Trixie Cool). The hotel also has the Trixie Junior Park, a waterpark for children aged 4-12 years.
